Moodymann has a new single coming out on his KDJ label soon.
The 12-inch, his first new release since last year's Parliament Funkadelic edits, contains a pair of jazz-inflected house tracks. The first, "Pitch Black City Reunion," was recorded live in Detroit. His last solo record was back in 2016—a limited 7-inch he released with the Michigan-based clothing company Carhartt.
