Lab.our Music, the Toronto label run by Basic Soul Unit and Jason Ulrich, AKA J-UL, has announced details of a double-vinyl compilation called Lab.our Intensive: Toronto Works.
It's the tenth release for Lab.our, and it features an all-Toronto group of producers contributing a wide range of analog-heavy house and techno. Both Basic Soul Unit (real name Stuart Li) and Ulrich are on hand, along with label fixture Maxwell Church, Aberdeen, Adam Marshall and Pursuit Grooves, who put out records on Tectonic and Deepblak in the early '00s and who has recently returned with new music after a few years of silence. Tracks from Walter, Smoke and R complete the package, which is scheduled for a late May release.
