- Double Pack celebrates 120 releases on the French label.
I:Cube is releasing two new records on Versatile in May.
First up is a double-EP simply called Double Pack, which is not only the 120th release on the French label, but also Nicolas Chaix's first new release as I:Cube since 2015. That one comprises six new tracks that Versatile says range from "cosmic-Balearic" to "acid-indigestion-inducing" to "deep caverous bassline creepings."
Also coming is a new 7-inch from his Œil Cube project, which debuted last year with a five-track EP paying homage to Chaix's early days of releasing music on cassettes. The 7-inch contains an edit of "XXXX," originally from that EP, by Red Light Records man Abel, as well as a new track, "Etire En Avant," which dates all the way back to 1996.
