Mutable Instruments has released a new module called Stages.
Stages can function as an envelope generator, LFO, sequencer or switched LFO. Mutable says it allows you to "describe your own modulations in terms of basic operations: ramp from one voltage to another, hold a voltage at a set level, wait for a trigger and slew. With or without looping." The module functions differently depending on how you patch it. For instance, it could act as a complex six-stage envelope generator or output six individual shapes.
Stages will start shipping this week for €299. It follows a flurry of module announcements from Mutable, which released the Marbles random sampler and the Plaits macro-oscillator in the last two months.
