The booking leans towards experimental techno, bass music and live electronics.
The booking for the 170-capacity basement venue is overseen by the team behind Ensamble, one of the city's main promoters for leftfield club music. They had their soft opening a few weeks ago, and have since hosted a mix of domestic and international acts like Rabit, Born In Flamez and Tayhana. It's located only a couple blocks away from the Palacio de Bellas Artes.
They've scheduled upcoming gigs with the likes of Batu (who's kicking off a Timedance label residency in July), Ñaka Ñaka, Ziúr, Lone, Sissel Wincent, Kablam and Resom. Tonight (Friday, May 11th), there will be a label showcase with Infinite Machine featuring Tomás Urquieta and White Visitation.
"For us, the most important thing is the music," says booker Carlos Cruz, "and that the people who come out to our shows find a safe place to really enjoy it. You can expect to hear ambient, experimental, techno, doom, gabber, bass, juke, trance and all of the other genres that don't get any space at the regular clubs in this city."
