- Sick Parrots will come out in June on the French producer's own Super 95 label.
Voiski is putting out a compilation of unheard material called Sick Parrots.
Described as "a bundle of artist indecisions," Sick Parrots gathers 13 tracks, remixes and edits that the well-regarded French techno producer crafted (or co-produced) that have never been released. Chronologically, the selection ranges from a 2011 cut, "The Room Is Dark And Gloomy"—which Voiski "didn't want to release because it sounded too much like the Exorcist theme"—to a 2018 track, "Family Drama At The Supermarket," which comes with this comment, referring to a Japanese convenience store chain: "Interpretation of the Family Mart supermarket jingle inspired after a delirious walk in Tokyo on NYE night, unsolved copyright issues."
Also featured is a 2013 track from The Other Side Of The City, which seems to have been a project that Voiski was part of, and a club edit of "Texture Poem For The Moons Of Stars," a piece composed during his RA Sessions set around 18 months ago. (Watch that performance below.)
The compilation will come out in late June on CD and digital formats through Voiski's own label, Super 95, where last year he released his ambient-leaning LP Disconnections, Music For Clouds.
