  • Lonnie Holley is releasing MITH, his first album since 2013, in September. The improvisational artist has signed to Jagjaguwar for the follow up to his 2013 LP, Keeping A Record Of It, and debut album, 2012's Just Before Music. According to the label, MITH covers the "injustice and hope" of our current world, touching on topics such as Black Lives Matter, Standing Rock and the state of US politics. Holley recorded the album all over the world, in places such as New York, Portugal, Oregon and his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. Laraaji, Nelson Patton, Shahzad Ismaily and the late Richard Swift are among the artists featured. Watch the video for "I Woke Up In A Fucked-Up America."
