The local zine has organized live talks with Francois K, The Rapture's Luke Jenner and Strictly Rhythm cofounder Gladys Pizarro, among others.
RA and Love Injection have planned a series of interviews and panel discussions covering five decades of New York dance music history. The lineup includes Francois K, The Rapture's Luke Jenner and house vocalist Barbara Tucker. Nightlife icon Chi Chi Valenti, Bossa Nova Civic Club owner John Barclay and Strictly Rhythm label cofounder Gladys Pizarro are also booked, among other key industry figures.
It's part of our 24-hour party this coming weekend, which starts on Saturday at 8 PM and ends at 8 PM on Sunday, featuring the likes of Umfang, Adam X and Fred P. While the talks are going down from noon to 5 PM on Sunday, The Lot Radio, another beloved local institution, will be handling the open air dance party in the back yard. Mister Sunday will close it out with sets from Eamon Harkin, Justin Carter and special guests.
