The opening Saturday of the intimate two-room venue will be soundtracked by Steve Ward and DJ Kiti.
The intimate spot on Queensberry St in Carlton, which previously housed Illusion Nightclub, comprises two rooms with a combined capacity of 300 and holds a 24-hour license. Nergal Youkhana of Charades and Mitchell Gee of Autosea will oversee bookings, with house, techno and disco being the main musical focus for the club, although Youkhana explains there are "some other promoters running D&B and bass events, so it’s really open to whatever." Weekly Saturday parties will be run in-house under the Yours&Mine banner, while the rest of the week will be open to other promoters, with local outfits Animals Dancing, Bizarro and Club D'erange all having future dates lined up at the club.
Steve Ward, DJ Kiti and Hysteric are billed for the opening night, while NSW veteran Phil Smart headlines on August 4th as part of his 30 Years of DJing tour. Renovations are currently being carried out by Full Throttle Entertainment, the company responsible for audio and visual production at events like Pitch, Rainbow Serpent and Strawberry Fields, with Funktion One rigs being installed in both rooms. The main floor will be open from the launch date, while the upstairs bar area is a couple of months away from completion.
