San Francisco weekly party Run The Length Of Your Wildness will release its second compilation this September.
The release coincides with the three-year anniversary of the Monday night event, founded by Cherushii, who died in 2016's Ghost Ship fire, and Roche. Run The Length Of Your Wildness, now helmed by Roche (Ben Winans), Blakeblakeblake, Arnold Rafael and E.M. Malinowski (Experimental Housewife), provides the following statement about the collection: "This album is our phoenix. Run The Length Of Your Wildness, along with its close community, has been through a lot since the Ghost Ship fire of 2016. We miss our friends so much! This 29-track compilation is but a glimpse into our collective mourning, celebration and creative expression around how we've been managing to carry on."
It features a posthumous track from Cherushii, as well as music from her surviving partner David Last and Golden Donna, who was set to perform at Ghost Ship the night of the fire. Run The Length Of Your Wildness V. 2 also includes tracks from Roche, Experimental Housewife, Jacktone Records boss Doc Sleep, Michael Claus, Elexos Park, Its Own Infinite Flower and gayphextwin, among others. It will come out digitally on Bandcamp next month, with a 12-inch sampler to follow. Cal Volner-Dison handled the artwork for the release.
All proceeds will be donated to Cherushii's family. Run The Length Of Your Wildness will hold a release party on September 10th, after which they will begin to throw events less frequently.
