See what Moog's new flagship polysynth—their first in over 30 years—can do in the hands of Dev Hynes, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Mark Ronson and more.
Showcasing their first analog polysynth in more than 30 years, Moog enlisted musicians and producers from across different backgrounds to demonstrate how it works. In addition to the ambient legends, the film features contemporary producers Paris Strother, Dev Hynes, Mark Ronson, Mike Dean and Jeff Bhasker, pianists Chick Corea, Robert Glasper and Dick Hyman, organist Dr. Lonnie Smith and composer and DEVO member, Mark Mothersbaugh.
"Urban people, like you and I, live in an environment surrounded by electronic, or rather digital sounds," Sakamoto said in the video. "But as humans, our bodies are natural. They're not man-made. Our ears and brains yearn to hear more natural sounds... Sounds transmitted by analog synths feel more natural than those of digital synths."
