Demdike Stare have released two new mixtapes.
They're the first and second in a four-part series, Stitch By Stitch. The first tape, called Stem, features "DDS edits of mostly UK-centric techno, UKG, grime and hardcore jungle funnelled through unspooled pop, R&B and dancehall." The second tape, or Chain, is made up of library music, field recordings, noise tapes and spoken word. The third and fourth tapes will be released in a few weeks.
Demdike Stare released their latest album, Passion, late last month. Their label, DDS, has also released records by Conjoint, Shinichi Atobe, Mica Levi and Il Gruppo Di Improvvisazione Nuova Consonanza this year.
Stitch By Stitch: Part One (Stem) and Part Two (Chain) is out now.
