A Los Angeles court ruled in favour of Jennifer Fraissl on Tuesday.
Earlier this week, a Los Angeles court ordered the EDM star and his company, Lost Boys Touring Inc., to pay $3.4 million of a total $4.5 million awarded to Jennifer Fraissl, who was injured at a concert at The Belasco Theater. According to CBS Los Angeles, the fan claimed Moore landed on the back of her head after diving into the crowd from a table onstage. 16 days later, she said she suffered a stroke. She filed the lawsuit in 2014.
The remainder of the payout is split between the venue, which has to pay Fraissl $450,00, and a $675,000 deduction due to negligence on Fraissl's part. Moore's lawyers argued that she was aware of the risk having previously attended a Skrillex show in Las Vegas, where a similar stage-diving incident took place.
"There is nothing more important to me than my fans and their safety at my shows," wrote Moore in a statement. "I want them to have fun and enjoy the music. While I'm disappointed by the jury's decision, I'm glad this process is over. I look forward to getting back to work and delivering new music to my fans."
Skrillex's last and only album, Recess, came out in 2014.
