  • Shed has a new EP out under the name The Higher for XL Recordings. The Core is René Pawlowitz's first release for XL. He acknowledged on Twitter that the title track, which you can hear below, samples Paradox's Wax Breaks, an album of breakbeat loops released in 2016. The four-track EP sees Pawlowitz reinterpreting '90s hardcore and UK rave sounds, which have cropped up frequently as influences throughout his catalogue. It follows a Shed EP from earlier this year, No Repress But Warehouse Find, and a remix EP with two new versions of his track "The Fall." Listen to "The Core."
