Merry Christmas from Critical Music, who have just released a new compilation featuring music from names old and new.
New Energy Vol. 1 is meant as a taste of what the UK drum & bass label has coming in 2019. Critical founder Kasra—who released his first-ever solo EP this year—appears twice, once by himself and once in collaboration with Russian producer Enei, who also has a solo track. Other contributions come from Halogenix, Hyroglifics, Ivy Lab, Emperor, Foreign Concept and Sam Binga, along with a handful of newer signings like Bou, Simula, Levela and Kanine.
