  • A copy of Moodymann's untitled new album, which hasn't been officially released, has sold for over $500 on Discogs. It was supposed to come out in June on the Detroit artist's Mahogani Music label. There's been no word since from the label, and now the LP seems to be circulating within a small circle of friends and fans. Discogs lists three sales of the record between November and December, going for between $436 and $517 USD. There's speculation in the Discogs comments that he may have run into licensing issues, as the album contains samples of Leela James, Angie Stone and Fleetwood Mac. The last we heard from Kenny Dixon Jr. was a 12-inch in March, Pitch Black City Reunion, the B-side of which—"Got Me Coming Back Rite Now"—can be heard in the YouTube upload below, which contains short clips of each track.
