- The French label starts 2019 with the Switzerland-based sound artist's second LP.
Latency's first release of the year comes from sound artist Martina Lussi.
The Swizterland-based musician is following up her 2017 debut album, Selected Ambient on Hallowed Ground, with Diffusion Is A Force. The nine-track LP "spans field recordings, processed instrumentation, synthesised elements and snatches of human expression," according to the press release. The song titles are plays on "empty" perfume names, and the album as a whole seeks to reflect on "the ever-quickening pace of communication."
Latency's most recent releases include Sam Kidel's LP, Silicon Ear, and Laurel Halo's mini-album, Raw Silk Uncut Wood. It was featured in our Label Of The Month series last year—read it here.
