He was found in his UK home by Essex police this morning.
Flint was found in his North End home after 8 AM by police, The Sun reports. The death is not being treated as suspicious. He was aged 49.
A spokesman for Essex police said, "We were called to concerns for the welfare of a man at an address in Brook Hill, North End, just after 8:10 AM on Monday. We attended and, sadly, a 49-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed. The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
The Prodigy has shared statements on their social media accounts. "It is with deepest shock and sadness that we can confirm the death of our brother and best friend Keith Flint," they write on Facebook. "A true pioneer, innovator and legend. He will be forever missed. We thank you for respecting the privacy of all concerned at this time."
Flint met Prodigy co-founder Liam Howlett in 1989, and was originally a dancer for the iconic rave act. He became the English group's vocalist in 1996 with the hit singles "Firestarter" and "Breathe" before going on to contribute to further recordings and tour with the band.

RIP Keith Flint- the prodigy remains one of my biggest influences and life changing bands- I said on many interviews how I used to blast “breath” in my bedroom age 11 worried what my parents might think of me 😢 pic.twitter.com/KOI1AgHG6c— Mor Elian (@_morelian) March 4, 2019
RIP Keith Flint. Very sad to hear the news that he’s passed away. I wouldn’t do what I do without him and The Prodigy in my life. A huge inspiration to me and many others 😔 pic.twitter.com/gXb8cHJGbW— Friction (@friction) March 4, 2019
RIP Keith Flint. I damn near burned a hole through The Prodigy Experience in 92 when there wasn't a lot of accessible dance music in Kentucky. It was a huge deal for me. I can't overstate it. I'm very grateful to have had proof that this world I wanted so badly actually existed.— THE BLACK MADONNA (@blackmadonnachi) March 4, 2019
The Prodigy were the first band I ever saw. Literally life-changing. RIP big man pic.twitter.com/c0otQGVbk6— Daniel Avery (@danielmarkavery) March 4, 2019
Lost for words...RIP Keith Flint 💔— Andy C (@ANDYC_ram) March 4, 2019
Keith Flint kept a swearbox above the fire in the pub he used to own (The Leather Bottle in Pleshey, Essex). Whenever he put the logs and kindling in and someone piped up with the obvious joke, he'd point to it and charge them a quid. RIP. pic.twitter.com/lEYZPXfrFj— Steve Anglesey (@sanglesey) March 4, 2019
