  • Foundational UK garage label Ice Cream Records is releasing Fixate's bootleg edit of one of its classic tracks. Double 99's "Ripgroove" was originally released by Ice Cream in 1997, and has since become an enduring UK garage anthem. London producer Fixate created his own bootleg edit that was featured in Sherelle's now-infamous Boiler Room set in February. After being played on BBC Radio 1 by Toddla T and Annie Mac, the Fixate edit of "Ripgroove" will receive an official, sanctioned release by Ice Cream. It's the label's first release since 2014. In a Facebook post, they promise: "Yes, you heard right, Ice Cream Records are back." There's no other concrete info on the release yet, but the label's Facebook post also says to "watch this space."
