  • Tresor has decided to stop working with Pacou, a longtime club resident and label artist. In a statement on Facebook, Tresor said it had decided to "hold working with him in our capacity as club and label" and cancelled his upcoming appearance on April 20th due to "controversial statements." "His comments, made predominantly on social media, do not correspond to the Tresor philosophy," the club said. "We value his musical work; however we stand for tolerance, respect and togetherness." The club did not elaborate on the nature of the statements. Pacou, AKA Agent Cooper, also announced the cancellation on Facebook. "I'm sorry for people who may have been misguided to believe in me having racist motives in relation to some other online individuals, this is absolutely not the case as stated already," he wrote. He closes his first statement by saying he will "apply a more strict routine" to social media and that this is "clearly a smear campaign." Pacou expanded on the situation in a second statement on Facebook, posted a couple hours after his first. "I made a MISTAKE to use the words 'sad immigrant' for another individual (who isn't even an immigrant by the word meaning—he is citizen of EU) in a private/not public DJ review of his under-average musical work," he wrote. "This was the WRONG word to use!" He then expresses support for "real immigrants" and accuses the artist in question of starting this "shitstorm." "I support real immigrants," he added, "people who come to Europe and to Germany because they have to escape for political or economic reasons! I thought this was completely obvious! He posted this review on Facebook to start a wave of hatred against me."
