- It rounds up new and unreleased drum tracks for DJs.
Max D from Beautiful Swimmers will release a full-length collection of his Dolo Percussion tunes called DOLO 4, out in May.
The 16-track album packages three previously released DOLO EPs with four brand new tracks. DOLO 1, 2 and 3 originally came out on LIES Records, Future Times and The Trilogy Tapes, respectively.
The project, which emphasizes functional drum tracks for DJs, grew out of material he was creating for Max D live sets. It spans genres and tempos.
"Industrial sounds clank next to the roundest house 909s," the label says. "Swing gets locked into rigidity and loose again, live bells and claps melt and fizz all over the grid."
