  • Teklife Editions will publish a 340-page book with more than 800 photos to mark five years since DJ Rashad's death. On Tour With DJ Rashad compiles images of the footwork pioneer while he was touring between 2011 and 2014 in the States, Europe and Russia. All photos were taken by Ashes57, a photographer and visual artist with close ties to the Teklife crew—the label DJ Rashad founded more than ten years ago—and the early dubstep era. The book is out on May 1st. In the preface to the book, Ashes57 writes: "This book is about my friendship with DJ Rashad. It doesn't cover his entire life, nor his whole music career, nor even all of his tours and DJ shows. The photos in the book are from the time that I spent with Rashad from 2011 to 2014, from the shows he invited me to and the time we spent hanging out in between." DJ Rashad, AKA Rashad Harden, died five years ago today. Some of his music has been released posthumously since, while friends have paid tribute to his legacy. Harden's music was most recently featured on Kode9 and Burial's Fabriclive 100 mix. Kode9, Scratcha DVA, Ashes57 and Fauzia will take part in a four-hour DJ Rashad special on Rinse FM from 5 PM BST.
