- The debaucherous weekly Sunday at Club 77 will host its final dance this Sunday with Kato.
Sydney's weekly Sunday party Pavlova Bar will end on May 19th.
Following a number of one-off events at various venues around the city in 2015, local promoter The House Of Mince took control of Sundays down at Club 77, where the night affectionately known as Pavs has taken place for the past three-and-a-half years. Over that time the club hosted all-night sets from acts like Honey Dijon, Maurice Fulton, Boris and A Guy Called Gerald as well as dozens of local and domestic acts.
Mince head Peter Shopovski reflected on the past few years, saying, "No one expected a Sunday night to take off like it did in quiet little Sydney. There have been so many changes to the club since we started, I feel like a bit of the magic has been lost. Best to take a break and refresh for some new ideas I'm working on... But the crowd getting naked and having a blast week after week is the best memory of Pavlova Bar."
The final night will feature Pavs regular Kato on the decks, with hosts TBA.
