  • Marco Carola went ahead and played Pacha Ibiza last night, risking a possible €2.4 million fine. Photos from Pacha's official Instagram account show the Italian DJ headlining the opening of his Music On residency, which moved from Amnesia to Pacha for 2019. As a result, he could be forced to pay the hefty fine, which is a stipulation of breaking his contract with his former club. Earlier this month, a local court ruled in Amnesia's favour, prohibiting Carola from playing anywhere on the island except Amnesia.
The fine is only part of Carola's legal worries. Yesterday, a second lawsuit was filed against the DJ, this time by his former promoter It's All About The Music SL. They are seeking "millions" in damages, as well as asking the judge to seize Carola's property and earnings. Despite all this, Carola appears to be carrying on as usual. Today, he confirmed his appearance at Blue Marlin for the official Music On opening afterparty.
