Orphan. Records is releasing a compilation to raise money on World Mental Health Day.
All proceeds from Or.VA1 will go towards the Child Mind Institute, a charity that helps youth deal with issues like anxiety, depression and ADHD. "We chose to benefit Child Mind because we feel that the next generation of musicians deserve to be better equipped to handle the day-to-day struggles of mental health," the label says. The compilation will come out on World Mental Health Day, October 10th.
15 artists have contributed new tracks, including Ciel, Nathan Micay, DJ Python (under his Luis alias), Reckonwrong, Ariel Zetina, Tuff Sherm, Maral and Dust-E-1. The full tracklist is still TBA. Each artist will also provide insight on their own struggles or history with mental health in an accompanying article.
