  • The Black Madonna says that she didn't know Amazon was behind the new Intersect music festival when she agreed to play. In a series of tweets, the American DJ said, "I absolutely didn't agree to this," adding that the details about Amazon were on "none of the offers or paperwork," and that she was "so furious." In another tweet, she also implied that other artists might not have realized either, and added, "Please be patient... while I burn some bridges." This week Amazon Web Services, the widely used cloud computing platform, announced the full lineup to its new music festival in Las Vegas in December featuring The Black Madonna, SOPHIE, Jamie xx, Flying Lotus, Kacey Musgraves, Foo Fighters, Max Cooper and more. Resident Advisor has obtained a document from the festival that says the event is a "collaboration between FORM and Production Club." The document goes on to outline the layout of the festival, claiming that it will be "one of the biggest festival productions ever," with "installations from world class collaborators." No mention is made of Amazon or Amazon Web Services. RA has reached out to representatives of Intersect for comment. Update: The Black Madonna has announced that she will not play Intersect festival.
