- The Ronaldinho of Kompakt has made a video for his indie-pop anthem 'Beautiful Life'.
Brazilian Kompakt signing Gui Boratto outdid even 'Like You' in the gooey stakes with the indie-pop gem 'Beautiful Life' on his recent album ‘Chromophobia’ album. Now it gets the once over in a video full of gauzy, idyllic shots straight from the cutting room floor of a Sofia Coppola movie. Stick around through the smiles for the oh-so-ironic ending, but it’s not the M. Night Shyamalan shenanigans that gets our juices up, rather the charm of the cast and the lo-fi budget, which seem somehow to reflect the warm tones of the song.
