  • Warp Records have launched their digital download site 'Bleep', featuring the entire Warp catalogue (minus a handful) encoded in super high quality mp3 format (LAME / VBR setting encoded at 205Kbps), available via fast download and with the added protection of tip top security. We like the fact that you can find all those much sought out Warp releases, 12" only remixes and doublepacks, and the plans to make exclusive content like DJ mixes, films, games and tunes from other labels available through Bleep in the upcoming future. For starters you can get your mits on two brand new Squarepusher tracks "Squarewindow" and "Talk About You and Me", which won't feature on the forthcoming album "Ultravisitor" released on the 8th of March. What's more, do your label and artist a favour and go above board for downloads. Buying music through Bleep means that you are supporting the artists work, and in some cases you are getting mp3's encoded by the artists themselves. After the bandwidth charges and Bleep running costs are subtracted, the artist gets half of the album or track price. Good deal eh? Deal. The fine print - tracks start at 99p and can be paid for with credit card or Debit card and via SMS message (UK only). If you want to know more, go check it for yourself: warprecords.com/bleep. Start off with the new Jimmy Edgar stuff. Quite possibly the future of pulse laden electronic raw beated basslined hip hop.
