It's time to celebrate a killer release, and the contribution of one of Melbourne's finest, Phil K. Coinciding with the release of their “Renaissance presents The Therapy Sessions” CD, DJ’s Dave Seaman (UK) and Phil K are set to give you a dose of therapy on Saturday 15 May at Room 680.
This occassion marks the first major album and tour under the Renaissance “Therapy” banner. Audio Therapy is a record label run by Seaman and relaunched in late 2002. The Therapy name has also been used as a means for Seaman to promote those he thinks are worthy talent, such as Infusion as part of the Summer 2003 Audiotherapy tour. Teaming with Renaissance, should see Seaman able to get on with doing what he does best, excellent CD compilations.
In order to get things started with a bang, Dave has enlisted the help of Australia’s own Phil K for this first Therapy session. This is no surprise though as Phil as currently being sort for more gigs overseas and is starting to be recognised as an undoubted star DJ of tomorrow. He is widely acknowledged by DJ’s such as Sasha and Anthony Pappa as “technically one of the best in the world”.
The Therapy Sessions CD includes tracks and remixes by Derrick Carter, Crystal Method, Infusion, Nu Breed, Dark Globe, Luke Chable and more, all mixed by Dave and Phil. Support on the night comes from local DJ’s Sean Quinn, Mark James, Keltec, Luke Chable, Sam Fraser, Jono Fernandez and Andrew Padula.
