  • Clubbing in Manchester can be defined simply as a combination of Tribal Sessions and Redlight nights. Thanks purely to the club known internationally for its amazing nights. The club - Sankeys Soap - will celebrate its 10th Birthday this year and look to do so in a successful drawn out fashion. Sankeys Promotions Manager, Sam Kandel said “The last 10 years have gone too quickly on Jersey Street. Since the doors of Sankeys were first flung open in 1994 (and then re-opened once again in September 2000, the 10’s of 1000’s people that have passed through her doors have all had their own unique experiences." They are reluctant to dish out the almost endless list of the worlds leading DJs that have hit the heart of Manchester crowds through the lifeline of Sankeys but they don’t need to over hype and talk up their success, as they have well and truly cemented their place. "The Anniversary is a fantastic landmark in what has been a rather epic 10 year journey for Sankeys. That legendary atmosphere is going to be cranked up a couple of extra notches for the 10th Anniversary,” continues Sam. The Sankeys Soap 10th Birthday events are to be held over 10 weekends taking full advantage of the ideal UK summer clubbing season. DJs Sasha, Erick Morillo, Pete Tong, Miguel Migs, Derrick Carter, Groove Armada, Dimitri from Paris, and Francois K are all set to take on a night. And if that wasn’t enough, the last and peak of their parties will happen on the Bank Holiday weekend in August when Mike Pickering and Graeme Park return for a rare and exclusive special Hacienda night. More details about the specifics of each of the events still to come.
