  • UK art, outsider and 'modern music' magazine the Wire has been hitting something of a dancefloor nerve lately with its cover features and content.

  • Cover stars of the latest issue (285, November) are none other than Underground Resistance, with Mad Mike Banks sitting down for an extended interview available to read online, whereas it was Ricardo Villalobos' turn only a handful of issues ago (282, August). Recent content has also included a fascinating run down of the St Anne's Bristol scene that nurtured Massive Attack, Roni Size, the new wave of dubstep producers and others, as well as interviews with Mathew Dear and bountiful reviews of Deepchord's Echospace releases to name but a few. Always worth keeping an eye on and now available as a digital subscription, though this way you will miss out on the regular cross-genre CDs.
