  • Listening Station at Troika Bar on Thursday 5 August is a rather new concept for the music scene in Melbourne. Resident DJs Paul from Troika and Nic Toupee from Slap Records provide lovers of Kompact minimal house style and electro tunes with the sound they adore, but the emphasis is strictly on brand new tracks - playing only the newest tunes to land this week from Germany and surrounds, and playing them for your listening pleasure, not to dj them into mash-up oblivion. This night will definately satisfy those who want to know more or want to hear a whole track. The DJs even go the extra mile and invite you to ask about the ones you like, and write them down on special Listening Station tracklist cards so that you may then go and find them to purchase! Listening Station happens on the first Thursday of each month, at Troika Bar, Lt. Lonsdale St, City. The music starts from 8.30pm and entry is free.
