  • Blow Your Own Way returns on Friday September 24 with a very special guest for those with a discerning ear for techno, Soul Designer aka Fabrice Lig of label F-Communications. Fabrice Lig is considered by his peers and techno fans around the globe as a world class producer. He is well known for his particularly funky use of Roland’s sh101 analog synth, and for his especially emotional and personal melodies and harmonies. Demonstrations of his production skill appear on cream of the crop techno labels such as KMS (Kevin Saunderson) and 7th city records (Dan Bell) from Detroit, F-Communications (Laurent Garnier) from Paris, Raygun records from Hamburg, Playhouse records from Offenbach and most recently on the finest Berlin Based label, Kanzleramt (Heiko Laux). Some highlights of 2003 for Lig's fans are the already classic “Meet you in Brooklyn” EP on Playhouse records, the “Universal Tech” & “Los Picaros” EPs on Kanzleramt. Fabrice's album “My 4 Stars” was released on Kanzleramt early this year, featuring live percussion, straight vocal harmonies and saxophone recordings - the result being a combination of the best sounds of analog old school gear with the use of new incredible computer possibilities. After more than a year of studio work, Fabrice is about to hit the road again for his “My 4 Stars” Worldwide Tour. Fabrice will be joined by locals Phunk De Sonique, Mike Callander and of course Weird Gear’s very own resident who always rocks the dancefloor; Boogs. Entry will be $15 on the door. Our advice, get in early to beat the Friday night rush at Honkys.
