  • The monthly breakbeat party Broken Home is on again Friday 17 November, at Brown Alley. The crew are continuing their Interstate Series where they showcase the talent of breakbeat DJs or live acts from across the country. So far in the series they have hosted Andy Page, Scrambler and Musiq for Pleasure. This month the special guest is DJ SpinFX from Tasmania. Expect a night bootylicious jumpin breaks with Tassie’s king of the platter Rob Graham aka DJ SpinFX. Being no stranger to everything breakbeat, SpinFx is a true Australian DJ, having nomadically lived and performed at a number of venues along the east coast including Byron Bay, Sydney, Melbourne and now his true home of the dope beat, Hobart. Whilst in Sydney, SpinFx developed an immaculate duo set with one half of Db Chills member Dave “Jizz” Norris, who now calls Melbourne home as the honorary fourth member of Nubreed, performing scratch effect sets in a 3-deck showcase that only a Dexta & Kuya duo could outperform! Furthermore, Rob has been collaborating on a number of tracks with Melbourne’s Godfather of Breaks DJ Ransom. Being as synonymous with Tassie as Ransom is to Melbourne suggests that breaks heads in Melbourne should be warned of a eardrum bashing! So join SpinFX alongside resident DJ’s Brewster B, Dan Mangan and Keltec for an evening of broken beat madness. Entry is only $10 and gets you lots of goodies and extra’s that only other clubs dream of including badges, lollies and friendly staff!
