On March 23rd many eyes were on the stage at Miami’s Pure Nightclub as the 2005 Club World Awards took place in front of a star-studded audience. Despite a sudden change in venues, patrons arrived by the busload as the anticipation of the results could be seen on the faces of those hoping to gain the title of “best of”.
Also known as the “Disco Globes”, the annual event is held to celebrate the contributions and accomplishments of the industries best in design, technology, performance and promotion.
In attendance were representatives from superstar-venues Crobar and Ice amongst many others. Technology firms such as American DJ and Pioneer also were there in hopes of their own recognition in categories such as “Best DJ Product” and “Best DJ Series”.
As host, The Scumfrog enjoyed sharing the stage with two of Vivid Film’s hottest stars. An extensive cast of celebrities including Kelly Osborne, Sandra Collins, D-Fuse and Thomas Ian Nicholas of American Pie fame presented awards for various categories. Despite a few celebrity slip-ups and humorous anecdotes, the event went off without a hitch. The winners were as follows:
