  • Postcards from Berlin is the evocative name of the new monthly Sunday night at Honkytonks in Melbourne. Taking place every second Sunday of the month the new night aims to represent "the music and culture found in East Berlin at present, with a focus on the underground music streaming out of abandoned kindergartens, converted back alleys, old post offices and doner kebab lounges." You can expect to hear the sounds of Lo Soul, Isolee, Martini Bros, Steve Bug, Wighmonmy Brothers, Mathew Johnson, Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos and company. The resident DJ is Adelaide ex-pat Bundi will play alongside Damian Laird, Nick Harding, Richard Kelly as well as guest international Berlin heads. Entry is FREE from 7pm until late. Seek out these German sounds without the plane ticket!
