  • Vincent Casanova has a vision, and that vision has become a reality known as Subtropical Records. A new label dedicated to the delivery of modern electronic dance music. The label will specialize in warm-up and after-hours sounds, particularly eccentric, futuristic, deep, tech, atmospheric, minimal, micro, and broken beat styles. The label will emphasize originality and uniqueness while also focusing on true musicality and most importantly- dance floor functionality. The feeling Subtropical Records have is that dance music needs more versatility and hopes that our label can provide a much needed niche in the worldwide dance music market. Subtropical Records also plans on taking into account, the Hi-Resolution club sound systems that exist worldwide, and will release music designed especially for this type of playback. Furthermore, each release will provide a minimum of three tracks that will vary in terms of style- thus giving the potential DJ/listener a range of playable options- for example an EP might contain a minimal track, a breaks track, and a 4/4 melodic track. So far for 2005, Subtropical Records will see releases from, Haruko Sari, Vincent Casanova, and T-Polar; so the year is looking to get off to a superb start. Finally, the label will have worldwide representation as offices will be located in both the NYC area, and Stockholm, Sweden. The first release (now available) sees a warm minimal affair by Haruko Sari. A 3 track exclusive digital release titled- The In Touch EP. These three mini-house gems are bubbling with emotion and a touch of funk. Haruko provides the perfect sonic backdrop for rooftop afterhours parties in your favorite city, sundown- beach parties, or late day chill out sessions. The EP is available NOW at such fine music boutiques as Stompy.com, with many other shops soon to host them as well. Welcome to the Subtropics?
