- Catch Marshall Jefferson, Jeff Mills, Superpitcher and Farley "Jack Master" Funk and many others spinning for free on Wednesday nights in the Windy City over the summer.
RA is pleased to report that the City of Chicago's annual SummerDance Festival will, for a second year, feature a DJ Series running 6pm-9pm on Wednesday nights at the Spirit Of Music Garden in Grant Park, across from Columbia College.
Following the addition of a DJ series to the SummerDance Festival for the first time in 2004, the City's Department of Cultural Affairs has once again lined up an interesting array of house and techno DJs who will perform over the summer in the Windy City; the first night in this year's series kicking off on June 15th.
As might be expected, the DJ Series features predominantly house-flavoured DJs led by old-school legends Marshall Jefferson and Farley "Jack Master" Funk. However the sharp-eyed among you should also spot the inclusion of Jeff Mills, Kompakt's Superpitcher and Mazi adding some tech-house, minimal and jackin' techno.
It may be a Wednesday night but hey, it is free so we suggest you kick on to Grant Park after school, university, work, what have you...has to be better than watching television!
