  • Another Friday and time for the radio update! Essential Mix Essential Mix on Radio 1This week’s guests on Essential Mix are none other than Deep Dish, who are about to release their brand new artist album ‘George Is On’ very soon. Tune in on Sunday, 19th June at 1am(GMT) for a chance to hear some highlights from the new album and a few of Deep Dish’s current favourites. Proton Radio Proton RadioAs expected, Proton has another jam packed week of shows but here are a couple of highlights. Kicking things off on Saturday, 18th June is Jason Jollins’ show Momentum. Anyone who’s heard Jason’s recent promo will know what to expect i.e. quality progressive house so be sure to tune in at 6pm(US EST). On Sunday, 19th June, Monday Social features the very talented Danny Howells, who has just finished wowing Australian audiences while promoting his Global Underground release. A definite one to tune into when the show starts at 3pm(US EST). Metro951 For progressive fans everywhere, Metro951 has the fabulous John Digweed and Hernan Cattaneo up this weekend. Kicking things off is Digweed’s show, Transitions, on Friday 17th June starting at 9pm(EST) and then on Saturday 18th June tune in at 8pm(EST) for a dose of Argentinean magic from Hernan Cattaneo. BreezeblockBreezeblock on Radio 1 For those that couldn’t make it or for those that want to reminisce, this week’s Breezeblock will feature highlights from Barcelona’s Sonar event. Tune in on Tuesday, 21st June at 12am(GMT). Kiss100 For a bit of tribal house with a twist be sure to tune into Kiss100 on Wednesday for Tom Stephan’s weekly show. The show kicks off at 9pm EST (2am GMT) so get ready for some ghetto sleaze. Samurai Last but not least is something special on Samurai as they feature a mix from A Guy Called Gerald presenting a retrospective of the music from the legendary Greg Wilson. This mix will feature tracks from 1982/83 and will be broadcast in two parts with the second presented in July. This is your chance to listen to music that helped shape the future of modern day dance music as we know it today. Highly recommended and definitely one not to miss.
