  • With a promise of parties every second month, Chinese Laundry returns to Melbourne bringing a dose of good music and shenanigans to the Public Office on Saturday 13 August. The special guest DJ will be Deetron (Switzerland). Whether it be Acid House, Detroit style tech house or electro, the mailroom's strictly “party up” atmosphere will rock you, just like the ole days. The Soundtrack Saga crew will also be playing the rooftop in a heated tent showcasing RnB, Hip Hop, Funk, Electro, 80s, and Dr Feelgood all night in this choice, tucked-away warehouse space. Deetron has visited Melbourne several times before in the past, and is a firm favourite for those who like a bit of funk with their tech. A resident of Bern, Deetron's counts among his first muscial influences his jazz musician Father, ang Gang Starr, Prince Paul, Juan Atkins and Kevin Saunderson. He started out as a hip hop DJ, landing a residency at the famous Club Trax in Zurich. Since then he has moved into production and found techno, sending forth a string of techno hits on Intec, Phont Music, Rotation, Cosmic, Music Man, Black Nation and more. He has remixed a who’s who of techno including Ben Simms, Samuel Sessions, Damon Wild, Orlando Voorn, Paul Mac, K-Alexi Shelby, and Green Velvet. Don't miss him on his return! Local support comes from Dave Pham, Ben Cromack, Dallas Raft, Gene Hoffman, Sam McEwin, Pimp Doggs, Richie Rich, Mike Callendar, Mike Hunt, Scott Finemore and Randy Ruckus.
