  • Since the early 90s, Tony Thomas (UK) has been steadily churning out tunes and remixes and he is now well established in the dance music scene as one of the main purveyors of tribal and tech house music. Both DJ and producer he's able to mix styles between techno, tribal and house and this is reflected amongst the more than 200 productions that bear his name and countless remixes on many major labels. Tony Thomas will be in Melbourne to headline The Drum Is God party on Friday 29 July at Brown Alley. The second in the series, The Drum Is God fills a special niche in the Melbourne scene as a night devoted to tribal house. This party marks Tony Thomas' Australian debut and he will be playing a four hour set! Also playing at the party are two other international DJs making their debut, Pedro G (Portugal) and Enrique Soto (Spain), Drum is God regulars DJ Promo (UK) and Nick Dem Q (Bamboo Music), as well as Gavin Mak and Rollin Connection (Darkbeat). The funky house and breaks room will feature DJs Feigan, Ross Anthony, Andy Arnott and Vorn. For full event details and ticket info click here. If you feel the need to keep dancing to the tribal drum beats after Brown Alley, there is also an afterparty at Tilt on the Saturday morning. Once you get in the groove it can be easy to keep dancing! Read our interview with Tony Thomas via the link below.
