  • After the 'Breathe On Me' in-house fiasco within Jive Records that saw James Holden’s remixes axed from Britney Spears last artist album “In The Zone,” it looks as though Jive doesn’t want history to repeat itself, having already commissioned and scheduled the release of remixes of her latest song, 'Someday (I Will Understand)'. In the past, Britney has had songs remixed by producers including Thunderpuss, Felix Da Housecat, Miguel Migs and Gabriel and Dresden. However, on this occasion progressive trance duo Leama and Moor (who have previously done amazing things with tracks by Radiohead, Brian Eno and Avril La Vigne) have taken on the task of remixing the new single from one of Pop music’s most unabashed recording artists. According to Andy Moor's website, "There will be a vocal mix and a cooler dub mix for select DJs. The original is a vocal Pop ballad, but the remix gives the track a new chord structure and gives the vocal a different edge." Someday (I Will Understand) produced by Guy Sigsworth will be released on August 23rd, 2005. At this stage it is scheduled to be released as a CD-single only and will not cater to vinyl purists. In the meantime you can check out a short clip of the remix on Andy Moor's website.
