  • After two successful first stints, Soho based (UK) house label Defected Records have announced a make over for their popular ‘Most Rated’ series. The compilation which is compiled from the votes of the public aims to pack as many dance floor heavy hitters into the 2xCD format as possible with people from around the world effectively selecting the tracklsiting by logging their votes online at the Defected site. It has undergone a transformation with London-based creative studio Blue Source at the heart of its future creative endeavors. In addition to the publics 2xCD hitlist of tracks, Most Rated 2005 will also include a DVD full of footage from dancefloors at live Defected In the House events around the world, intercut with the label’s signature club visuals created and mixed by Light Surgeons, track promos and excerpts from interviews with Defected DJs Bob Sinclar, Joey Negro and Danny Krivit. There are early frontrunners which can expect to make it onto an album of this nature like Bob Sinclar’s reggae-tinged Love Generation, Armand Van Helden’s Into Your Eyes, Martin Solveig’s Everybody and Chab’s cross over hit Closer to Me. Those who vote will also go into the draw to winner a VIP trip to Barcelona for Defected @ Catwalk Miami for the 2006 Winter Music Conference as a guest of Defected.
