Insurgentes has detailed its next release, Dissidente, the debut mini-album from Distantia.
The Brazilian duo arranged the record while the two artists didn't know each personally and lived in separate regions of the country. The six-track EP spans a range of genres from jungle, trip-hop to IDM.
Mari Herzer, one half of Distantia, is a producer and DJ long-affiliated with Mamba Negra, the Brazilian queer party in São Paulo. Her last release was the B Like U EP, put out seven years ago on Lust Be Records.
