  • Behringer has more synths on the way. While the instrument manufacturer's next Moog-based synth is called the Poly D, it's actually a paraphonic design. Although you can individually pitch its four analogue oscillators, the signal path is monophonic. Like Behringer's Minimoog clone, the oscillator, filter and amps are modelled on the Model D but feature an extra oscillator, effects section and sequencer. Behringer have not released full specs, release date or a price yet. Watch a promo video for the Poly D.
Behringer also revealed a budget remake of the EDP Wasp synthesiser, an early digital design known especially for its bizarre filter behaviour. Dubbed the Wasp Deluxe, Behringer's version adds MIDI. It's available to preorder now for $299. Watch a promo video for the Wasp Deluxe.
The announcements continue Behringer's staggering output of new synth products. While they have released original synths like Crave, they continue to focus on clones of classic designs, announcing plans to remake everything from the Yamaha CS-80 to the Sequential Circuits Pro-One.
