  • CDR is back for 2020 with a series of six events across four London venues this year. The long-running multi-platform project led by Tony Nwachukwu is best known for its Open CDR sessions, in which producers can bring tracks to hear on a club soundsystem, and for its events at the beloved London club Plastic People. CDR kicks off its 2020 programming on January 22nd with a night at Five Miles with jazz pianist Joe Armon-Jones. Adding to the South London jazz mix is trumpeter Emma-Jean Thackray, who will join CDR at Rye Wax on March 25th. Also to come this year are Emmavie (February 25th at Corsica Studios), Elsa Hewitt (April 29th at The Glove That Fits) and Desert Sound Colony (May 27th at Five Miles). The final event in this run takes place on June 25th at The Glove That Fits where Shy One will be in conversation with IG Culture. Find more information about the upcoming sessions and how to submit your productions here. In December, CDR cohosted a series of panels and discussions at Resident Advisor's twenty four/seven London—including an open session with Fabio (see slide three below).
