  • International Music Summit has invited Brian Eno to discuss climate change in a keynote interview with Pete Tong. Hosted in partnership with shesaid.so, the 13th edition of the annual event will convene artists and industry leaders for conversations from May 20th through 22nd. This year's keynote will see the UK-based Eno explore his role as a founding trustee of EarthPercent, a project existing to encourage artists and music companies to donate a small percentage of their revenue to leading organizations addressing the climate crisis. As a result of Eno's recent hiatus from flying, the talk will take place over a video call. The funds saved from the flight will be given to EarthPercent. "The music industry has always been a leader in movements for social change, and we can be proud of that. But if ever our efforts were needed, now is the time." Brian Eno says, "This is The Big One and I am delighted to have this opportunity with IMS to speak with the global electronic music community at such a critical moment." Last month, Brian Eno released a collaborative project with Laurie Anderson and Ebe Oke, Dokument #2 via Kjelfred & Lentz. His forthcoming album with brother Robert Eno, Mixing Colours, is due out next month.
