Odete's next EP is coming via London's New Scenery.
Water Bender is one of the most substantial releases yet from the Lisbon artist (and Circa A.D. member), who featured in our list of 15 Lisbon Artists You Need To Know back in 2018. The EP is based on a plot about a water bender whose "gift... ultimately leads to her tragic demise," according to the label. The music features samples and recordings made by Odete in Lisbon.
Naive affiliate BLEID and fellow Portuguese artist DRVGジラ contribute to a track each, and there are also remixes from Herlander and Jasper Jarvis.
New Scenery is a promoter, record label and platform for women, LGBTQ+ and nonbinary artists.
