  • After 36 years Pacha has come along way since Ricardo Urgell founded the club in the seaside town of Sitges. It is now one of the most famous nightclub brands in the world, and it will soon make its mark on New York this December. After another massive summer season in Ibiza, Pacha owners Hugo and Panchi Urgell have announced plans for the club to open in The Big Apple. Teaming up with Subliminal supremo Erick Morillo, who has been drawing huge crowds at Pacha's flagship club in Ibiza for 13 years, the club will draw on his long-term relationship with the brand and his knowledge of the New York scene to spearhead the move through a monthly residency. Erick evidently sees New York as a perfect fit for Pacha:
”Pacha is a brand that has distinguished itself from other nightlife venues and has limitless possibilities. They effortlessly put VIPs and celebrities in the same room as clubbers and that's what we want to achieve in New York.”
The Venue is situated on the same site as the prestigious Sound Factory and will feature a sophisticatedly designed Ibizan-NYC mix, multilevel space and plans for a roof terrace in 2006. For the models, rock n roll legends and mafia bosses amongst you the club will also feature a private VIP floor with it's own entrance areas with opulent and extravagant décor. Also joining the team will be Eddie Dean who brings his Discotheque & Tiki Room expertise who seems genuinely excited by the prospect of being involved in such a huge step for the brand:
'Pacha NYC will be able to offer the ideal space to host an intimate, corporate or colossal event. As a brand, we will be able to offer an experience and we are excited to be part of that great history.
The club will also host New York's only Alpha Dynacord sound system imported from Germany.
