- It's out on a new Light In The Attic imprint, WATER COPY, dedicated to the Japanese ambient pioneer's body of work.
Hiroshi Yoshimura's GREEN was just reissued digitally by the new Light In The Attic sub-label, WATER COPY.
GREEN is one of the late Japanese ambient legend's most sought-after albums, with used copies of the 1986 AIR Records original fetching close to $1000 on Discogs. The new version features the original mix, which only appeared on the Japanese vinyl release and was preferred by Yoshimura himself. It'll be the first release on WATER COPY, a new imprint administered in collaboration with Yoshimura's estate focusing on his body of work.
The label takes its name from the first track off of the RA-recommended Music For Nine Postcards, Yoshimura's 1982 debut reissued by Empire Of Signs in 2017.
GREEN is out digitally today, with various vinyl editions, as well as cassettes and CDs, to come in summer 2020.
